Enabling People with Disabilities Continuing its aid and support to people with disabilities in West Mosul, IHAO distributed wheelchairs, air mattresses for bed sores, and necessary medications to 100 people with disabilities on 20/5/2018. The distribution was implemented in the Ninewa Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled in coordination with the Ninewa Directorate for Health and was based upon the IHAO medical teams' home assessments of the beneficiaries' needs and shortages. The project is being continued to support another 100 people and is funded by our partners the Preemptive Love Coalition ("PLC").
Opening Sinjar PHCC On 18th April 2018, After a year supporting 9 primary health care centers in Nenawa, IHAO opened Sinjar Primary Healthcare Center (“SPHC”) in Sinjar, Nenawa, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Nenawa Directorate of Health. With support from our partners at Preemptive Love Coalition (“PLC”), IHAO is providing Primary Healthcare Services, mainly, treatment of common diseases and reproductive health to the vulnerable population of Sinjar returnees. SPHC is the only primary healthcare center in Sinjar. Opening SPHC is another step towards meeting our commitment of returning people from camps and into their homes

Rehabilitation, Education and Community Health (REACH) is a non-governmental, non-profit and independent Iraqi organization, conducting its activities in Diyala, Kirkuk, Erbil, Duhok, Ninevah and Sulaimaniya governorates of Iraq. REACH provides humanitarian aid to IDPs, refugees and host communities, by assisting and supporting their efforts to make a difference in their lives and developing their capacity to respond to emergencies with the support of partner agencies.
