The United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development concluded the orphan sponsorship project  The United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development had concluded the orphan sponsorship project. This project was targeted 2000 orphan child in four provinces (Baghdad, Al-Anbar, Ninevah, Salah Al- Din) The guarantee of each orphan child is 50 dollar for 9 months with make courses for memorizing the Koran and teaching computer and swimming for orphaned children… Note that this project is part of Al- Kuwait by your side campaign and under the direct supervision of the civilian management crisis cell- prime minister office and the Embassy of Kuwait in Iraq…

On 13th of March, a delegation of Iraqi Women Network met with the Head of IHEC’s Commissioners Council  and a number of commissioners. The discussion centered on women’s participation in IHEC and in the coming election and a letter on this issue has been handed to them. ATTACHED IS A COPY OF THE LETTER.

PRESS RELEASE 3 April 2018 New Surgical Unit Opens To Treat Mosul’s War-wounded Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) today opened a comprehensive post-operative care facility in East Mosul to provide services for people injured by violent or accidental trauma during the recent conflict to retake Mosul from the Islamic State group. The facility is located at the Al’Salaam and Al’Shifaa hospital complex and includes a mobile operating theatre, a 33-bed in-patient ward where people can recover from surgery, mental health services and a rehabilitation unit, which will be run in partnership with Handicap International.
