NCCI Holds Training Workshops for National NGOs to Build Capacities in Project Design

NCCI held training workshops in Baghdad that were attended by a total of 54 staff members from 27 different National Non-Governmental Organizations (NNGOs) working in Iraq. The workshops took place from 8th to 14th April 2014 and aimed to reinforce capacities in the field of project design. They were carried out as part of a larger project, which is being funded by the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and aims to optimise the effectiveness of humanitarian efforts of NNGOs in the central areas of Iraq by empowering them to provide protection and multidisciplinary solutions to UNHCR's persons of concern. The process of empowerment includes but is not limited to building NNGO institutional and programming capacities and providing them with technical assistance, and strengthening NNGO relationships and cooperation both between one another and with the local Iraqi authorities.
