NCCI Releases Weekly Field Situation Reports on Humanitarian Situation in Anbar

Since the beginning of the year, the NGO Coordination Committee for Iraq (NCCI) has been releasing weekly field situation reports with the support of our members and field coordination network. These field reports contain detailed updates on the changing security and political environment, humanitarian needs in different sectors, the interventions being provided by different International and National NGOs and numbers and geographic locations of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) that have been forced to leave their homes as a result of the continued outbreaks of fighting. The production and circulation of NCCI field reports are important within the mandate of NCCI as a coordinative body for its members and are especially important given the dynamic nature of the emergency humanitarian environment inside Anbar itself. Particular focus is given in the field reports to the situation in Ramadi and Falllujah, where access for humanitarian actors has been difficult since the very beginning of the crisis. These reports integrate in with the Emergency Coordination meetings that are being held regularly by NCCI with member INGOs and NNGOs.
