This 2 day course will teach the basics of SPSS software and statistical analysis: from importing and entering data to executing analysis and producing graphs and tables. This training will include several practical exercises. Participants can bring –and are encouraged- to use their own data. NDI-Iraq is pleased to invite NGOs from all governorates to apply for participation in a new program, “Monitoring & Advocacy for Accountability & Transparency” (MAAT). One of civil society’s key functions is to play the role of watchdog and to advocate for government accountability and transparency, ensuring that government institutions deliver for citizens. This program aims to build the capacity of and enable a select group of NGOs from around the country to monitor government processes and policies as a means to hold the government accountable to citizens’ needs.
As part of this program, NGOs will take part in a series of capacity building trainings to be held from October 2010 through February 2011. The trainings will focus on how to effectively monitor government processes and policies.
